Job Description
The US Analytics VP/ Director is a senior leader who develops innovative measurement and analytics approaches that drive the client’s business forward. The VP/Director leads a team dedicated to creating best-in-class consumer, media, brand, and market research and to transforming strategic insights into powerful stories
The role needs to provide strong perspective and ongoing analysis of specific business data for media planning and optimization, as well as the broader media marketplace to identify opportunities for both the client and the agency as a whole. He or she will interact with senior media, strategy and analytics clients leading high level strategic, data-backed discussions and providing strong action-oriented recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee annual business planning – connecting business results to media decisions
- Conduct semi-annual business planning (2x per year) optimizing media plans and overall budgets connected to business outcomes – Media ROI and brand KPIs
- Make recommendations on media mix, overall budget and predict outcomes using client MMM results and internal Starcom predictive models; synthesize results and present to senior media clients
- Manage data collection to send to client for their MMM as well as data collection for internal models
- Consult with clients on model architecture and design it to align appropriate media investment variables
Manage learning agenda and measurement plans
- Identify key learning priorities across full client portfolio to identify key insights needed for campaign-level learnings and full portfolio-level learnings to drive the entire business forward
- Work with key third-party measurement part to execute learning agenda including consultation on vendor selection, identification of appropriate methodologies, and verification of needed tagging of assets
- Partner with clients and measurement vendors to identify insights and develop plan recommendations based on these insights
Develop and maintain data connectivity solutions
- Identify opportunities for data automation to pass data to client Datorama dashboard solution
- Develop data QA processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of data delivery
- Consult with clients on dashboard development, appropriate cuts of data, etc. needed for meaningful dashboard insights
Qualifications
- 10+ years in analytics, modeling, business consulting or media research
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, statistics, engineering, marketing, advertising or business,
- Robust experience with quantitative research, syndicated & customer data environments, and market mix modeling critical
- Working knowledge of dashboard software packages such as Datorama
- Experience leading and developing growth of other team members
- Experience in Financial Services a plus

Compensation Range: $159,500 - $250,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
