As Manager, Human Resources (HRM) you are a strategic leader, culture champion, and trusted business advisor, empowering both leaders and employees to thrive. You’ll be a key partner in shaping a healthy, productive, and positive work environment by working closely with leaders to align HR strategies with operational business goals. From coaching leaders through workforce decisions to modernizing and improving DC people process; you’ll help create a workplace where talent thrives. You’ll also collaborate with stakeholders to ensure policies and practices are not just followed but understood and applied in a way that supports both compliance and a strong workplace culture. As an HRM, you are expected to lead by example, demonstrating strong core values through your expertise, integrity, and approach to people management. Your ability to model these values will not only guide and inspire the workforce but also contribute to a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and high performance- creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.  

 

Essential Functions of Job:

 

Talent & Performance Management:

  • Implement and manage the cyclical performance management process
  • Collaborate with leadership team to understand and execute organizational HR and TA strategy, focusing on current and future talent needs
  • Perform succession planning and gap analysis to develop effective leadership development plans
  • Provide performance management support by guiding and delivering performance improvement plans, disciplinary guidance, and terminations, ensuring fairness and consistency
  • Conduct exit interviews for exempt leaders
  • Analyze exit interview data and onboarding feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement

Leadership Development & Strategic HR Support:

  • Build and develop a skilled HR team
  • Support strategic leadership development plans and provide leadership coaching and consultation
  • Benchmark and collect data from surveys and feedback for benefits and compensation, collaborating on recommendations to stakeholders
  • Support network and HQ initiatives and project work
  • Calibrate with operations leaders for peak readiness and staffing strategies including but not limited to effective selection, onboarding, retention, and engagement

ER, Compliance, and Legal:

  • Ensure site alignment and consistency across DCHR network
  • Support HRG in ER case management and provide decision guidance
  • Address escalated employee relation issues, legal-related concerns, and collaborate with legal partners
  • Enforce consistent policies and procedures and revisions, when necessary
  • Perform local work accommodation analysis and calibration
