This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Job Summary
This position has responsibility for executing the Network Performance strategy to manage and strengthen the performance and profitability of the dealer network through programs, policies and tools that show financial performance, operational improvements, brand integrity and continued dominance of the U.S. motorcycle market in alignment with Harley-Davidson’s strategic imperatives. The incumbent supports dealer profitability by providing the dealer network with tools for achieving accounting best practices and creates a foundation for performance comparison for individual dealers. They will also provide internal stakeholders with key financial performance metrics to aid in network strategy and viability. That is accomplished by coordinating Motor Company resources across Harley-Davidson Dealer Systems, Performance Groups, Programs and Recognition and Rewards and Analytics teams, third party suppliers, and budget.
Job Responsibilities
- Consults one-on-one with dealers on financial reporting including support for Talon, Lightspeed and other DMS monthly submissions to DISC.
- Acts as company advocate and expert on how to successfully implement dealer capabilities through specific measurements to improve dealer operations and profitability.
- Works with key stakeholder to proactively identify and implement innovative new approaches/practices.
- Responsible for policies, maintenance, training, sustainment, improvement and capability extension of iExam Business Management System
- Partners with stakeholders to identify accounting best practices for dealer network in support of Harley-Davidson programs
- Promotes collaboration across the company to develop and design the associated communication efforts for the country market and regional sales, to create awareness and understanding of the value of financial performance monitoring.
- Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and delivering the Harley-Davidson Chart of Accounts to be used by dealers in submission of financial performance data.
- Responsible for maintenance of representative proformas based on dealer reported financials
- Proactively conducts insightful analysis of dealer financial performance that leads to actionable recommendations.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Required – Financial, Business, Accounting or similar emphasis
Experience Requirements
Required
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- Familiarity with dealer financial statements and related analysis
- Strong understanding of dealership financial systems/operations.
- Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Experience working directly with dealership staff, preferably dealership owners, managers and controllers.
- Ability to develop effective business relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders both internal and external.
- Ability to understand dealer issues and respond diplomatically.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Position requires up to 5% travel.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, and the dealer network
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel.
Preferred
- Retail Accounting Experience in like industry preferred (automotive, motorcycle).
