Project Technical Controls Specialist - Grain LNG, Isle of Grain, Kent
As a Project Technical Controls Specialist, you'll provide vital support to the Project Controls Manager to ensure the effective implementation of project control processes for various project work packages. The role ensures that core project controls functions such as governance, cost, risk, change and programme are adequately resourced, coordinated and implemented.
You'll join an expanding terminal, which is of strategic national importance to UK energy infrastructure and security of supply. We're the largest Liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Europe and eighth largest in the world by tank capacity with a site that spans over 600 acres in total.
Key accountabilities
- Assist with implementation of Project Controls systems, set-up and facilitate required training.
- Assist with implementation of governance processes.
- Understand project contractual requirements.
- Ensure cost, programme, progress and risk reporting is coordinated and consistent.
- Assist with staffing requirements for Project Controls.
- Coordinate the development of Project Controls execution plans and assist with project closeout.
About you
- Knowledge and experience of project control processes.
- Project execution experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, is self-motivated and has a dynamic approach to achieving goals and objectives.
- Competent with MS-Office to create weekly, monthly and annual project schedules.
- Member of a professional institution, e.g. PMI or APM is desirable.
