Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Oversees a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
- Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
- Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
- Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
- (un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
- Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
- Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills.
- Functional Skills: Systems Thinking, Scientific Computing, Quality Management, Technology Awareness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing (Continuous Improvement, Problem Solving, A3, DMAIC)
- Experience with manufacturing systems such as JDE, FACTORYworks, or SAP
- Must be proficient in all MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience with processes such as Quality Systems documentation protocols
- Demonstrated ability to lead in FDA regulated environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple functions, organizational levels, and various backgrounds
- Strong focus on developing an organizational culture that fosters teamwork
- Ability to motivate, influence, engage, & inspire others to deliver outstanding results
- Proficient in handling/ resolving conflict
- Ability to support and drive change
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to lead under pressure
- Project management experience

Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Requires 3+ years of experience with a high school diploma, or equivalent.
