IOA is seeking a proven home care leader with deep expertise in operations, financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning—someone ready to lead the launch of services in a new geography.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated and accountable, with a passion for developing skilled home care teams and establishing IOA’s trusted brand of quality care in the Sacramento area. This leader will actively engage both prospective clients and caregivers to deliver extraordinary experiences. The role offers a unique opportunity to leverage IOA’s infrastructure, build on best practices in care delivery, and execute strategic initiatives that expand our geographic footprint.

Skills necessary

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Social Services, Public Administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Five to seven years of experience in home care or health care, including at least five years of supervisory/management experience
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with home care aides and other team members to drive organizational success.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen, including ability to analyze key data points.
  • P&L experience and the ability to develop and manage the budget
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with electronic health records (EHR) and home care management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills including ability to manage various responsibilities at any given time.

Essential Job Functions
 

Day-to-day operations:

  • Serve as primary liaison for IOA at Home to a variety of internal and external partners
  • Manage day-to-day administrative functions including scheduling, personnel management, payroll, billing, and record maintenance
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of home care professionals, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies
  • Provide proactive performance management through coaching, evaluations, and recognition
  • Create standard operating procedures, corresponding trainings, and implementation plans
  • Maintain accurate records on all prospective and active clients, employees, and referral sources.
  • Implement & maintain data integrity within record keeping system (WellSky)
  • Coordinate the design and implementation of staff education programs
  • Ensure training compliance with IOA Education team members
  • Conduct regular quality assurance activities with clients and caregivers to maintain high levels of client and family satisfaction through regular communication and prompt issue resolution
  • Oversee the development and execution of client care plans and ensure all services are performed to deliver quality care
  • Manage on-call schedule of office staff to ensure coverage after hours and on weekends.
  • Provide support after business hours

Business Development

  • Engage in activities necessary to expand client base to promote revenue growth and build referral relationships throughout the service area
  • Participate in community activities developing brand awareness
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure operational alignment
  • Collaborate with IOA business support functions, including Human Resources, Business Intelligence, Finance, Marketing, and others
  • With support from IOA Marketing, participate in the development and implementation of objectives, strategies and initiatives for census/revenue growth and business development with the execution of related sales and marketing plans
  • Leverage IOA’s Business Intelligence infrastructure to report and measure KPIs
  • Monitor performance against established revenue, expense, and profitability targets
  • Follow home care trends and developments to identify recommended shifts in daily operations and strategic goals
