Decarbonization Strategy Lead, North America

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will serve as regional coordinator of the decarbonization portfolio with an emphasis on green operations including but not limited to energy, formulation, CCUS, new technologies, decarbonization business case studies, and decarbonization roadmap preparation. The role will provide support to the business and operations in constructing Roadmaps to facilitate the achievement of its strategic objectives.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Support the annual business planning cycle, delivering the PDP (plant development plans) and ensure PDP development in alignment with country strategies, including decarbonization 

• Actively contribute to development of decarbonization roadmaps by coordination with business and operations teams to achieve CO2 reduction goals

• Understand and evaluate best options for CO2 reduction for the region in order to develop the best strategy for decarbonization (i.e. – alternative fuels/biomass, energy efficiency, mineralization, hydrogen boosting, CCUS, etc)

• Develop & support business cases for decarbonization activities

• Support ID&D team with grant / funding applications 

• Understand the regional Capex project pipeline to obtain regional development goals with strong focus on prioritization of decarbonization (Green) capex

• Use of data extraction tools (TIS, Qlikview, LHink, CemPortal, etc)

• Work closely with global and regional manufacturing technical teams

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education:  Bachelor's degree

Additional Education Preferred: MBA

Field of Study Preferred: Business, Finance or Engineering

Required Work Experience: 5 years experience

Required Computer and Software Skills:  Drawings software, Microsoft office with advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and equivalent Google Suite products, Project Management software.

Travel Requirements:  Up to 30% travel
