JOB SUMMARY

The Home Medical Equipment Technician delivers oxygen and other respiratory medical equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

• High School graduate.
• Verification of valid Driver’s License

Pushing - up to 100lbs

Manually transfers oxygen reservoirs that weigh around 50 lbs.

Handles compressed gaseous oxygen.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Sets up and operates home medical equipment following specified parameters of treatment and maintains delivery logs.
• Educates patient and family on the safety and use of home medical equipment.
• Inspects, cleans, tests, and maintains log to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently and orders repairs when necessary.
• Provides on call coverage's for new, set up/pickup and resolves equipment problems.
• Performs assessment to ensure home is safe for home medical equipment delivery and use and enforces safety rules.
• Maintains inventory for all equipment.
