POSITION SUMMARY
The Beverage Marketing Manager will be responsible for working with the Director of Marketing and collaborating with Beverage sales leadership to develop the marketing strategy for the Branding Solutions division at Boelter. He/she will lead the efforts to execute the communication, creative and digital marketing strategies with a focus on quality lead generation. In addition, the Marketing Manager will be the marketing expert for this industry, developing a thorough understanding of the market, competition, Boelter’s strengths and weaknesses and evaluating potential new opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
• Develop strategy – work closely with the Beverage business leaders and the Director of Marketing to create a marketing strategy to meet the growth targets for these businesses. Analyze customer insights, industry trends, market analysis and marketing best practices to build successful strategies that generate leads and grow revenue.
• Ideation – closely collaborate with marketing, product category management and sales teams to identify tactics and priorities and bring the strategy to life including build out of the promotional calendar, content development, advertising, digital campaigns, sales engagement etc.
• Project management – lead the execution of the marketing strategy by working with our internal creative and digital marketing teammates and outside agencies. Strong leadership is required to manage all pieces and players involved with each project. Set clear expectations, provide direction and ensure timely execution of marketing campaigns, programs, lead generation, sales collateral and events.
• Optimize digital platforms – continuously improve and update Beverage content on Boelter.com and BeerCup.com to fully showcase the breadth of Boelter’s capabilities and offer the best customer experience while generating quality leads.
• Analyze results – review and report on results of marketing activities and adjust to improve.
• Mentor and coach – take an active role in the career development of the Beverage Marketing Coordinator by providing mentorship and coaching to help her reach the next level.
• Build relationships – cultivate strategic relationships within Boelter both within the Branding Solutions team, the Marketing team and other Boelter leaders and departments. Build relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry associations and collaborate on marketing activities with major industry players. Oversee Boelter’s presence at key annual events, including trade shows.
• Industry expert – serve as the Beverage industry expert on the marketing team providing industry and competitor insight, market research and thought leadership to support marketing efforts.
• Identify business opportunities – identify customer needs and business opportunities for the Branding Solutions business to support continued growth.
• Maintain budget – manage Beverage marketing activities within the annual budget.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a marketing role with at least 2 years of people management experience
Cross-functional team leadership experience
Beverage industry experience strongly preferred
Proven understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM and marketing automation platform
Demonstrated ability to generate leads and website conversions
Strong project management and decision-making skills
Detail oriented and able to organize competing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including copywriting
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and a demonstrated ability to drive action based on multiple sources of data
Must be resourceful, team oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, be a proven self-starter and able to work independently
Ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility in a constantly changing environmen
