About the role


The Premier Veterinary Group in Chicago, IL is looking to add an experienced 
Anesthesia CVT to our highly skilled team. 

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Day shift
  • Four 9 hour weekday shifts per week + on call rotation
  • Pay range is $25-35/hr based on experience and skill level for CVTs, $35-45 for VTS candidates.

About the Job:
You will be responsible for performing anesthesia for our specialty and emergency patients, providing the highest quality care for hospitalized patients, and assisting the surgeons and veterinarians with receiving new patients and discharges.
We are looking for someone with extensive anesthesia and nursing care experience, with great attention to detail, who is a positive team player and excited by continuous learning and development. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional, compassionate, client service is expected.

Requirements:

  • Veterinary Technician credentialing is required for this role
  • Graduate of accredited AVMA program or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in veterinary anesthesia
  • Accuracy in calculating and delivering anesthetic agents, fluids, and CRIs
  • Proficiency in record keeping related to medical procedures including daily treatments administered, patient status, procedures completed, supplies used, and anesthetic records
  • Understanding and review of medical records pertinent to patient care
  • Comprehensive understand and experience with anesthetic monitoring is required
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
  • Maintain a positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected

About You:

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude are also a must.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring is required.
  • The ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and a commitment to developing long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community is required.
  • Maintain a positive outlook and ability to work well in stressful situations.
