Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Lead Ultrasound Technologist for our Outpatient Imaging Offices who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Lead Ultrasound Technologist you will:
• Maximize patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing patient work load. Performs ultrasound exams as needed.
• Establish protocols in conjunction with the radiologists and ensures staff adherence to them.
• Initiate cost saving measures with Manager and Director’s approval.
• Maximize job potential by attending all Radiology Leadership and Staff meetings.
• Maintain staffing schedule for SGMC and GEC General and Vascular Ultrasound staff.
• Demonstrate ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, patient history and medical records, and adapt sonographic examinations as necessary.
• Coordinate with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided; Anticipates patient’s needs and exceeds expectations.
• Have the ability to evaluate, synthesizes, and communicates diagnostic information to the attending physician.
• Assume responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all patients in the sonographic area/department.
• Report equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member and completes associated forms.
• Show ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations; Maintains schedule and prioritizes exams.
• Use computer systems (Cerner, Viewpoint, McKesson PACS and Hconnect) correctly to document patient information.
• Provide proper notification for absence or tardiness.
• Demonstrate cost effectiveness in the sue of supplies and equipment as indicated by minimal wastage of supplies.
• Maintain ACR and IAC accreditations for both departments.

Qualifications include:
• High school or GED
• Graduate from Accredited Diagnostic Medical sonography program and/or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum 5 years preferred.
• RDMS (AB, OB/GYN), RVT and American Heart Associate Basic Life Support certification

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Able to float to other Outpatient Imaging Offices
