This position serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer, responsible for planning, managing, supervising, and coordinating daily operations through subordinate supervisory staff. In this role, you will serve as a policy administrator, exercise responsibility for the execution and implementation of department technology standards and policies for projects and application development. In addition, you will ensure facility, procedures and work tools are available to accomplish assignments and originate objectives and approves design documents. This position also reviews requests for modifications to systems and assigns to appropriate development Divisions and assigns technical and administrative support within the Program Area. Additionally, the position serves as Program Administrator in the absence of the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Essential Functions

20% Subject to management approval, serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting Illinois Department of Revenue (REV):

• Assists the Chief Information Officer (CIO) with the execution and implementation of department technology standards, policies and projects that evolve from new laws that impact taxes and the Department of Revenue’s long-range plans, including but not limited to Development and Support of all applications, Security Safeguarding and Audit Compliance, Federal Pub 1075 compliance, Database Management, Server Farm management, network, procurement, billing and ancillary systems within the Information Technology Program Area.
• Works closely with the Division Managers to provide direction to address priorities and support the maintenance requirements of the production systems, which includes but is not limited to, Enterprise Tax Processing system, Document Imaging, data entry applications, Data Gat
