Overview

This position is responsible for developing and executing upon IGT's Global Gaming delivery and services architecture and technology innovation strategy, reporting to the VP delivery and services organization. Responsibilities include directing activities of delivery and services architects integrating software framework, systems and/or product design functions or designing underlying architecture for use in one or more product offerings.  
 

As a leader of this team, you will support the delivery and services teams with requirements capturing and costing exercises, as well as creating and maintaining the underlying architecture for IGT’s product offerings, including offerings for systems domains. You will be responsible for evaluating design results assuring accomplishments of technical objectives and providing innovative technical and product solutions to drive strategy, allow for continuous improvement, and extend market footprint.  This role will interface with teams both internally and with external customers.  

Responsibilities:
•    Responsible for directing the activities of staff architects, creating and maintaining architecture for IGT Global Gaming product offerings
•    Co-chair the technology innovation team responsible for new product and IP idea generation
•    Evaluate design results to meet strategic technical objectives
•    Define and execute 3-5 year architecture roadmaps for Global Gaming
•    Define and maintain an organizational structure that fosters innovation and allows responsibilities to be fulfilled
•    Communicate architecture strategy to internal and external stakeholders
•    Responsible for deployment of internal cloud-based development solutions
•    Based on customer and product requirements, facilitate cloud consumption costing exercises for Global Gaming Architecture, Product, and Delivery teams
•    Maintains an in-depth knowledge of competitive environment, cloud technology and economic implications of IGT’s cloud strategy
•    Collaborate directly with delivery teams globally and drive results in the form of data insights
•    Reconcile supply and demand for architects
•    Responsibility for cost center budget

•    Executives within Sales, Studios, and Product Management
•    Regular interactions with customers
•    Collaboration with CTO functional leaders 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
•    15+ years combined prior experience as a software engineer, software architect, and technical manager
•    10+ years of directly leading teams of architects, with increasing organizational span of control and various responsibilities
•    Knowledge of financial principles and business analytics
•    Effective negotiation, articulate communication, and relationship building skills
•    Strong multi-tasking skills to manage complex issues
•    Must exhibit high-level, specialized architecture skills and be recognized by the organization as having functional authority

Education and Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree in software/computer technologies 
•    5+ years experience with modernization of complex systems and/or production of cloud deployments
•    Experience with software development tools and processes
•    Experience with Agile Project Management approaches
•    Experience with analytics, data visualization, and metric analysis (KPI)
•    Experience with tools such as Salesforce.com, JIRA, Clarity PPM and SAP
•    Experience working in a gaming company or a regulated industry a plus

Licenses/Certifications:
•    Able to obtain a Gaming License
•    Expertise in software engineering, platforms, hardware manufacturing, procedures, and best practice
