Location: Hamilton, NJ/Mercer County
Work Schedule: Full-time: Monday-Friday; 8:30am-4:30pm

What You’ll Do:
• The Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) supports the Program Manager to ensure that the Day Habilitation & Community Inclusion environment operates cohesively and provides those who participate the opportunity to experience a quality of life through support and advocacy.
• Functions as mentor to ensure that all team members are supporting consumer participants within a person-centered approach.
• Serves as the point of contact regarding all consumer’s individual needs in the program environment when the manager is not available.
• Supports the Program Manager in the implementation of all regulatory standards that meet the rights of the individuals supported by assisting in the daily operations within the program.
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
• Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability and willingness to drive large vehicles such as 12-passenger vans (ambulatory and non-ambulatory).
• Planning and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with detailed accuracy
• Problem-solving skills & listening skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff, person receiving services, families, and the public.
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs.
