Primary Objective:
The HR Generalist will help ensure smooth HR processes while supporting policy updates and maintaining accurate employee records.
Major Areas of Accountability:
• Benefits Support: Assist with benefits administration by coordinating enrollment, answering employee questions, and supporting open enrollment activities (without direct ownership of program design or vendor management).
• Payroll Coordination: Provide payroll support by preparing data, verifying accuracy, and liaising with payroll provider and supervisors. Contribute to payroll accuracy and compliance by serving as a cross trained backup.
• HRIS Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain employee records in the HRIS system; input new hires, run basic reports; and support data integrity audits.
• Compliance & Policy Support: Assist with compliance activities, including maintaining required postings, supporting audits, and drafting minor policy updates under HR leadership guidance.
• Employee Lifecycle Support: Help with onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation.
• Employee Inquiry Support: Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and payroll.
• HR Projects: Contribute to cyclical HR activities such as performance reviews, training initiatives, and compliance reporting.
Required Qualifications:
• Education:
◦ Associate’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience:
◦ 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial environments
◦ Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration
◦ Experience supporting hourly and shift-based workforces
• Skills:
◦ Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements
◦ Familiarity with HRIS systems
• Schedule:
◦ primarily Onsite, Monday through Friday, standard business hours with some requirements for evening or weekends as needed.
• U.S. Person Required: This position requires compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Physical Requirements:
• Sitting: Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing computer and desk work.
• Standing/Walking: Occasional movement within the office environment, including walking to meetings or other departments.
• Keyboarding/Computer Use: Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating office equipment.
• Vision: Ability to read documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens for extended periods.
• Hearing/Speaking: Regular communication in person, by phone, and through video conferencing.
• Lifting/Carrying: Occasional lifting of office materials or equipment up to 20 pounds (e.g., files, laptops, office supplies).
• Reaching/Handling: Ability to reach for files, handle documents, and operate standard office equipment.
• Mobility: Ability to move within a standard office environment, including navigating hallways, meeting rooms, and workstat
