Muir Wood is a leading provider of adolescent mental health and substance treatment services headquartered in Petaluma, CA. We are seeing a dynamic, self-directed, and motivated Outreach Manager to join our team.  This position will focus on building relationships with therapists, intensive outpatient programs and acute care mental health programs across Southern California (Riverside County and Southern San Bernardino County). The ideal candidate must live within thirty miles of Riverside, CA, have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for adolescent mental health and substance treatment. 

Requirements

 Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing referral sources in the adolescent mental health and substance disorder field via regular in-person meetings in assigned Northern California markets
  • Identify and cultivate new referral opportunities to increase admissions to our Residential and Intensive Outpatient programs
  • Educate potential referral sources about our approach to care and our services 
  • Conduct presentations and provide information about Muir Wood services to families, providers and other groups working with this demographic
  • Schedule and facilitate tours with referents to Muri Wood residential and out-patient facilities
  • Coordinate and participate in adolescent health related networking/educational events – This often involves working an exhibit booth and coordinating related dinner/marketing events
  • Collaborate with the admissions and clinical teams to ensure an effective and efficient admission process and assisting in the discharge planning process as needed 
  • Provide on-going and timely communication with all parties involved in the admission process
  • Utilize our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Salesforce) to document all call activity
  • Meet expected activity and admission goals

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of successful experience in sales, preferably in healthcare or mental health fields, including sales territory development/management and CRM experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business, marketing or communications strongly preferred Master’s degree with clinical background preferred
  • Prior experience in adolescent mental health/substance disorders strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Consistently supports and emulates superior customer service standards internally and externally
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships 
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve sales targets
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Southern California on a daily basis
  • Ability to pass State mandated background checks

Physical Demands:

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee must have vision abilities that allows them to drive safely in daytime, nighttime and inclement conditions such as rain or fog. This includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  The employee must be able to routinely sit in a car for prolonged periods and be able to exit the vehicle and walk distances of up to 100 yards without difficulty.

Compensation: $80,000 – $105,000 based on education and experience
