Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your valuable expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Tania Maties (Controlling Operations Manager, Cluj-Napoca), and work alongside with smart, experienced, mature, and assertive teammates.

 

You'll discover a complex business with complex accounting procedures and processes, where you can continuously learn and develop and create value add to our deliverables and tasks with your creative ideas. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (local accounting and reporting managers, controlling organizations, various finance and business functions).

 

You’ll specifically take care of preparing the required financial information about the project and works closely with the Finance Project Manager to achieve the financial goals of the project.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Ensure that project calculations reflect current status of project, TAC approved and proposed, preparing EAC change requests;
  • Management of Workpackages Customer Service, Transport, Engineering, Material, PM (reviews, monthly cost control analysis, reconciliations);
  • Inputs and updating project calculation in local ERP (GSI) and consolidation Polaris/Teranga.
  • Budget and Forecasts cycles for the contract in charge;
  • Review and analysis of Estimated-At-Completion calculation of the project for Budget, Forecast and Actuals;
  • Review and analysis of variances between Budget, Forecast and Actual figures and comment on them in monthly reporting – especially Sales POC, Margin and Free Cash Flow, Risk & Opportunities and Contingencies;
  • Review and analysis of contract related Balance Sheet items with the target of minimization of Net Utilized Assets (Inventory Level, Advance Payments, Accounts Receivables, etc.);
  • Makes financial situation transparent to the Core Team;
  • Prepares and presents current status and alternative scenarios. Track project related savings activities;
  • Prepares and updates monthly reports and presentation in project review meetings;
  • Contributes in Risk and Opportunities discussion and following up on action plans;
  • Responsible for customs and customer invoicing, VAT, receivables and payment control;
  • Cash-Flow Management (i.e. input of project figures in Polaris);
  • Hedging activities in cooperation with Treasury (if necessary);
  • Controls warranty provisions to the end of the project;
  • Provides input parameters for Bid Approval Process and support Blue Book tender activities for variation orders;
  • Control of cost and direct hours;
  • Control of manhour writing;
  • Procurement/Engineering: Quantify impact of change orders (profitability calculation), assess impact on the different cost items in the calculation, (i.e. Bill of material and engineering hours);
  • Keep Project Manager continuously updated on financial situation of project and upcoming risks and opportunities;
  • Builds and maintain successful cross functional relationships;
  • Supports Project Manager and/or Claim Manager in commercial negotiations and preparation of claims;
  • Contract MD management;
  • Month end closing including accruals management;
  • Audit tasks;

  • Degree in Accounting or Economic field;
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience; previous experience in record to report, order to cash experience is a plus;
  • Good understanding of Finance/ Controlling processes and tools;
  • Understanding and experience of complex multi-national organizations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems;
  • Good English skills in writing, speaking and listening;
  • Good general business understanding;
  • Experience in Finance processes and systems;
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability;
  • Positive and proactive attitude, with resilience under pressure.
