We design robust systems that navigate trajectories with centimeter-level accuracy—smoother and more reliably than a human driver—across a vast range of real-world conditions.</p> <h2 class="heading-2">About the role</h2> <p>We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to advance Avride's core Control System. In this role, you will architect sophisticated control systems using <strong>Model Predictive Control (MPC)</strong> and identify the dynamic parameters of our vehicles.</p> <h2 class="heading-2">What you'll do</h2> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and optimize cutting-edge control systems in <strong>modern C++ (C++17/20)</strong>.</li> <li>Develop and refine robust, high-precision solutions for <strong>trajectory tracking</strong>.</li> <li>Analyze and iterate on system performance using <strong>real-world vehicle data</strong>.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with engineers from our Planning and Hardware teams to build a cohesive and reliable self-driving system.</li> <li>Write clean, maintainable, and optimized <strong>production-quality code</strong>.</li> <li>Profile and optimize algorithms to meet <strong>real-time performance constraints</strong>.</li> </ul> <h2 class="heading-2">What you'll need</h2> <ul> <li>3+ years of professional software engineering experience.</li> <li>Expertise in <strong>modern C++</strong>.</li> <li>Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.</li> <li>Hands on experience on data analysis and basic statistical methods.</li> <li>Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on delivering results and driving projects to completion.</li> </ul> <h2 class="heading-2">Nice to have</h2> <ul> <li>Direct experience in <strong>robotics</strong>, with a strong grasp of Optimization, MPC, and system dynamics.</li> <li>Digital signal processing techniques to analyse <strong>real-word sensor data.</strong></li> <li>Advanced knowledge of mathematics (optimization, probability, mechanics) and a proven ability to translate complex theories into <strong>production-ready algorithms</strong>.</li> <li>Relevant publications or achievements in ha
