Certified Nursing Assistant: Classroom Paraprofessional

The Vermilion Association for Special Education is seeking a certified nursing assistant (CNA) to work one-on-one with a student at Middlefork School. Middle Fork serves students with emotional disabilities, autism, and other related disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting the teacher with all classroom operations, providing student supervision, assisting students with academics and behavior, implementing school's behavior intervention procedures, completing documentation of student behavior/medical needs, changing diapers, administering medication, and other activities as assigned. Applicant must be physically capable of implementing behavioral techniques, lifting/moving students, and moving quickly.
Position requires ISBE approval as a Paraprofessional, including 60 hours of college coursework. If the applicant does not have their PEL approval, we will walk them through the registration process.
$3,000 sign on bonus. Starting pay no lower than $17.39 per hour.
