Claims Insurance Manager *Remote*

The Risk, Claims & Insurance Department undertakes risk financing activities on behalf of our organization. The risk financing activities include insurance placements and renewals, certificates of insurance, a captive insurance company, purchase of surety bonds, and management of self-insured professional and general liability program.

Providence is calling a Claims Insurance Manager who will:

• Be responsible for managing the insurance renewal process through activities that include but are not limited to:
  • Gathering underwriting and exposure data
  • Preparing insurance applications
  • Reviewing insurance proposals
  • Coordinating and participating in strategy meetings
  • Reviewing coverage summaries
  • Obtaining binders and policies
  • Reviewing insurance invoices
  • Requesting payments
• Assist with third-party risk reviews that includes mergers and acquisitions and insurance language in contracts
• Assist with certificates of insurance and surety bonds

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Administration, Finance, Insurance or another related field of study -OR- a combination of equivalent education and work experience
• 5+ years of experience working with commercial casualty insurance placements and renewals

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation
• Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation
• Experience with insurance activities in a self-insured health care organization
