This is an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to vital water infrastructure improvement projects throughout Maine.

This position directly supports the administration of approximately $50M of Drinking Water State Revolving Funds annually, including tracking grant related requirements and sub-recipient awards, reviewing and approving invoices and payments, submitting quarterly progress reports, and providing technical assistance to Public Water Systems and consultants.  As the Engineering Team Supervisor, you will provide leadership, oversight, and accountability to these efforts.

Reasons to Work with Us:

By coordinating and supporting infrastructure improvement projects, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing overall drinking water quality.
2.    Flexibility and Work-Life Balance: We understand the importance of work-life balance, and that's why we offer partial telework options, up to three days per week. Take time for yourself using 13 paid holidays, 12 days of sick leave, and 3+ weeks of vacation leave annually and have peace of mind with our excellent benefit packages and retirement pension plan.
3.    Professional Growth: As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to attend relevant trainings, work sessions, and conferences both in-state and out-of-state. We believe in empowering our employees to stay updated with the latest trends and practices in the industry.
4.    Collaborative Work Environment: Join a team that values a supportive and collaborative work environment. You'll have the chance to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external partners.

As supervisor of the Drinking Water Program (DWP) Engineering Team, your core responsibilities will include:

•    Providing technical assistance on water system design and construction to staff, peers, public water system personnel, water treatment system installers, engineers, and consultants, and others;
•    Overseeing and providing project level management of Federal and State treatment grants, including the award of grants, review of designs, and approval of reimbursement requests;
•    Providing assistance and oversight of engineering reviews completed by the Engineering Team;
