About the role

The IP & Literary team at Amazon Studios is seeking a summer intern! We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated person with a passion for TV, movies, and a deep love of reading who thrives in a highly collaborative environment, but is also comfortable working autonomously.

The IP & Literary department of Amazon Studios identifies and sources intellectual property (IP) for potential film/tv adaptation. These include primarily books (fiction & non-fiction), but also articles, podcasts/audio content, graphic novels, manga, video games, musicals/plays, board games, and other forms of IP. We work with our domestic film and television departments, as well as our local language territories around the world.

Over the course of the internship, our intern will:
• Help with the creation of the IP Memo, which tracks new material in the external marketplace.
• Distribute a weekly memo, reporting on major publishing deals, material optioned, and new industry trends in both the publishing and audio space.
• Read material and perform coverage (synopsis of the material and one's thoughts).
• Dive deep into the publishing industry & ancillary IP marketplaces

Our summer internship class will take place from June through August 2023. Internships are paid opportunities and applicants must be a current student seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must be active students during the time of their internship. A student is characterized by: any candidate currently enrolled in an accredited degree program, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, Associate, certificates, and diplomas.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship experience at a production company or studio.
