It takes the right team of people, working together on the right solutions for the customer. We are looking for a seasoned Quality Assurance Engineer who will be a key driver to make this happen.

As a Drupal Web Developer, you will coordinate with a mixed discipline team of Enterprise Architects, Back End Developers, Front End Developers as well as your Agile Scrum team to establish the application development and maintenance best practices and standards for a Drupal-based content management site. The role is responsible for designing, coding and modifying a content management site, from layout to function and according to a client's specifications. The ideal candidate will coordinate with the Front End developer maintain the visual appearance and functionality of the site while also considering enhancements end-user ease of use and clear navigation, as requested by the client. The scope of developer duties includes designing, developing, troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing software code for the content management site.

Our core work hours are 10am - 4pm Eastern Time with the option to start earlier or work later depending on your time zone.

Responsibilities:

  •  Provide Drupal 10+ expertise to support the design and implementation a federal content management site.
  • Maintain a Drupal-based content management application via Drupal coding standards within compliance with federal policies and requirements.
  • Maintain and improve integrations with other federal applications.
  • Support business process analysis and re-engineering efforts for the end users.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the documentation for the website.
  • Informs on the scope for the application development process and governance function for the organization; develop innovation milestones for the future enhancements.
  • Obtains, evaluates and consolidates best practices from within existing Drupal application development areas, including vendor and in-house teams as well as from outside sources. Work with interested parties to review and reach consensus on policies to be established and governed within for all design and development activities going forward.
  • Cleans up Drupal code, making certain that each page is W3C compliant and corrects any infrastructure issues. Reviews pages after migration to ensure accuracy.
  • Performs PR reviews and all applicable testing before merging code for deployment in a continuous development environment.
  • Attends scrum team meetings and provides valuable input and maintains strong, positive interoffice and client relations. Represents team in cross-organizational workgroups, communities of practice, project teams, etc

Minimum Requirements:

  •  5+ years of experience doing Drupal development, module integration, module creation, site management, and content management with a Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of experience and a Master's degree.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must reside and work must be performed within the US
  • Must have lived in the US for 3 full years out of the last 5 years

Preferred Skills:

  •  Technical certification for Drupal
  • Experience with designing user interfaces in Drupal.
  •  Agile Scrum and/or Kanban experience.
  •  Ability to code/understand Angular for integration.
  • Understanding of best practices for accessibility and 508 compliance.
  •  Experience with Jira and Confluence. 
  • Familiarity with remote research and collaborative tools.
  •  Experience with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Hotjar.
  • Self-starter and adaptable in approach to fit project budget and timelines.
  •  Energetic, team oriented, and a motivated learner.
  • Work well in a collaborative environment with designers and other team members.
