Insurance Roofing Specialist

ION Solar is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Insurance Roofing Specialist to help homeowners navigate the insurance claims process for roof replacements and repairs. In this role, you’ll inspect roofing systems, assess storm or age-related damage, and work directly with insurance adjusters and customers to ensure smooth claim approvals and quality project execution. You’ll be the key point of contact from inspection through final approval, helping homeowners protect their investment while aligning with ION’s solar and roofing solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct remote/virtual roof inspections to assess damage and determine insurance eligibility.
• Educate homeowners on the insurance claims process and advocate on their behalf.
• Coordinate with insurance adjusters to review damage and ensure proper claim approval.
• Collaborate with internal roofing, solar, and project coordination teams to align timelines and deliverables.
• Track claim statuses and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build trust throughout the process.
• Stay up to date with roofing codes, insurance policies, and regional requirements.
• Recommend repairs or replacements based on inspection findings and policy coverage.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in roofing, insurance claims, restoration, or construction inspections.
• Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and storm-related damage.
• Experience working with insurance adjusters and claims documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience in solar or roofing sales/operations a plus but not required.
