Investment Banking Associate - Digital Assets, Diversified Financials - NYC

The Investment Banking Associate is an intermediate level position and supports Financial Institutions Group (FIG)’s investment banking initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and strategic advisory services across multitude of financial services subsectors including FinTech. The senior associate role plays a critical part in executing transactions, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members. Technology, Media, Telecomm industry experience can serve instead of FinTech.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the execution of Citi’s Investment Banking business activities, including preparing client presentations, creating financial models, and performing valuation analyses and due diligence
• Leverage past investment banking or related experience to enhance M&A execution and capital raising capabilities
• Manage and mentor analysts, providing guidance on financial analysis and deal structuring
• Collaborate with senior bankers in business development efforts and client engagement
• Contribute to building Citi’s franchise

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration Master's degree in Business Administration
• Experience in evaluating corporate transactions and structures
• Experience creating financial analyses
• Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Experience assisting with client development
• Ability to work with teams and track business development (collect research, analyze industry trends)
• Series 79 and 63 licenses

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

$175,000.00 - $225,000.00
