Our company is seeking a QC Supervisor for our 385 Gilman location for 1st shift 6am-2pm


JOB SUMMARY: Inspects and samples all production in various stages of work. Compares work with standards and brings variations to the attention of the production manager.


JOB DUTIES:

1. Serves as liaison between PM, sales and manufacturing concerning quality issues.

2. Responsible for all operations in the quality control department.

3. Provide supervision, training, safety training and monitoring of the activities of all personnel in the department.

4. Communicate with internal departments on job information, changes, problems, etc.

5. Monitor and inspect orders on press for proper construction, specifications, etc.

6. Sort and prepare customer samples for shipment.

7. Process Fed Ex shipments.

8. Manage and maintain quality press pulls.

9. Coordinate and execute vendor verification of product, samples, and processes.

10. Manage and maintain all files, records and samples as required.

11. Provide such reports as are necessary to customers, superiors, or others as needed.

12. Follow up on all complaints, problems or requests from customers, manufacturing or CSR's.

13. Other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements


JOB SKILLS: Multilingual a must. Oral and written communication skills and math skills. Ability to use measuring and office equipment. Above average interpersonal, organizational, and telephone skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks, details, and print related documentation. Average typing and computer skills. 


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of printing process, in line finishing, and pre-press and bindery operations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office 2000.


EDUCATION & TRAINING: Safety training as required by OSHA regulations. Operation of the Segerdahl computer system, use of required documentation. Application of Segerdahl policies, procedures and regulations related to customers or operations. Training on new equipment, technology or processes that affect services or finished product.


EXPERIENCE: Three to five years' experience in printing either in customer service, quality control or pressroom operations. Experience in pre-press or bindery operations helpful.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to lift 30 pounds frequently. Able to stand for 8-12 hours per day, and possess full range of motor/ motion skills in all body areas.
