Junior Staff Accountant

Description

Target Marketing Group, a Helm company, is seeking a detail-oriented entry-level Junior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting daily accounting operations. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile customer and vendor invoices, payments, and credit memos.
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice verification, expense control, and payment processing.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable functions.
• Prepare weekly check runs, as well as process ACH and wire transfers to vendors.
• Reconcile credit card statements and review credit card balances.
• Perform general ledger entries, updates, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.
• Review and prepare bills, invoices, and credit card statements for timely payment.
• Conduct research and resolving discrepancies or issues related to accounts.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial projects, reporting, and account reconciliations as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience (including working in a paperless environment).
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field (Preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel Skills (pivots, lookups).
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications. (NetSuite experience is a plus).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
