The Contracting and Distribution Strategies team in U.S. Vaccines is seeking a Customer Manager who will be responsible for managing our contracts and agreements in the Public Sector (inclusive of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention , United States Department of Veterans Affairs, and Department of Defense segments). 

This position partners with key internal stakeholders, including Brand Marketing, Portfolio Marketing, Global Market Access & Pricing, Policy, Order Management Center, Manufacturing, Customer Contract Management, Customer Operations, Commercial Legal, Data and Analytics Teams, Finance, Account Management, and Vaccine sales teams.

Responsibilities include:

Contracting & Customer Management:

  • Leading the design & execution of Center for Disease Control contracting including the addition of launch products. 

  • Evaluating segments & adjusting strategies in the public sector for performance of current and future contracts.

  • Working with sales teams and customers to ensure appropriate compliance with the terms and conditions of our contracts.

  • Collaborating with manufacturing and distribution teams to ensure internal contract compliance.

  • Collaborating cross functionally to design tactics to support account management and execution activities.

  • Responding to State & Municipal contracting requests

Data & Analytics:

  • Manage the collection, evaluation, and utilization of public sector data to drive decision making

  • Partnering with Marketing, Human Health Digital, Data & Analytics, and Field Sales to create insights from data. 

  • Use data to drive the prioritization of public sector and execution with customers. 

Leadership Excellence:

  • Developing strong relationships across key stakeholders

  • Serving as subject matter expert and a key source of information concerning Centers for Disease Control, Department of Defense, and Veteran's Administration segments including sales potential, trends, customer needs and the competitive environment

  • Proven ability to work as part of a matrixed team, while also being able to direct without authority as appropriate.

  • Embracing new ways of working including Agile, collaboration technologies, and embed analytics into decision making

  • Modeling positive mindset and behavior for others, and serve as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion

The position is based in Upper Gwynedd, PA.

Note: While the position is listed as “hybrid”, remote work arrangements will be considered based on a candidate’s experience and personal circumstances.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor degree

  • Preferred: Master's degree, Master of science or Master of Business Administration
     

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years local, regional, and/or global commercial or equivalent functions including strategy development, marketing, sales, project management, commercial operations, or market access (or equivalent roles)

  • Minimum of 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Demonstrated leadership/management across diverse stakeholders, including those without direct reporting relationship

  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills

  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to analyze complex data and create clear customer centric strategies.

  • Exceptional communicator with strong verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Leadership and Impact:  Proven track record of high-performance and driving business results. 

  • Experience in vaccine market or implementing contracts/ pricing programs for vaccines. 

  • Innovative Thinking: Demonstrated ability to leverage innovation to drive results.

  • Challenging Status Quo:  Ability to push past internal obstacles to drive initiatives forward

  • Understands policy landscape.
