Brown & Brown is seeking a Premium Payable Accountant to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL! 

The Premium Payable Accountant is responsible for managing payable processes, including reviewing reports, processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting team training and procedure development, and ensuring compliance with internal controls while fostering collaboration and professional growth. 

How You Will Contribute:  

• Assist in training, mentoring, and assigning responsibilities to ICP teammates while promoting knowledge sharing and teamwork. 

• Lead learning initiatives through meetings with ICP Accountants and Associates. 

• Develop and update procedures for the ICP team to enhance workflow and consistency. 

• Review company payable reports and research missing carrier statements to ensure timely payments. 

• Prepare final company payable reports, return payments to customers, and broker payable reports. 

• Process various payment types including checks, ACH, and wires as needed. 

• Enter journal entries and ensure accurate documentation of all transactions in ImageRight. 

• Collaborate with other teams to resolve transaction-related inquiries efficiently. 

• Maintain and enforce internal controls for all payment and financial processes. 

• Foster professional relationships, support ongoing learning, and participate in industry-related training and development opportunities. 

Skills & Experience to Be Successful: 
 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field 

• Working knowledge of financial accounting  

• 1+ year office experience 

• 1-3 years’ payable experience (preferred) 

• Insurance industry experience (preferred) 

• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Word, and Excel
