JOB OVERVIEW
This position is a full-time, in-office position, reporting to the Corporate Real Estate Concierge Services Leadership. The Event Concierge is an ambassador responsible for the execution of the conference center experience, overseeing the general success of each meeting and overall operation of the center. This ambassador understands meeting planning, reception and concierge services, and conference center operations. The ambassador is a hospitality professional who will work closely with a variety of teams to plan events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute world-class hospitality standards in accordance with the Nationwide values
- Communicate effectively and build a strong relationship with Nationwide Associate
- Build a strong relationship with key partners such as food service, audiovisual, security, maintenance, janitorial and more
- Perform meeting planning services, schedule, plan and deliver corporate meetings, and internal trainings from inception to completion
- Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are performed by various Nationwide support staff
- Respond professionally to the Nationwide Associate and internal requests, accommodating to the best of your ability
- Manage room booking system and reports
- Anticipate Nationwide Associate needs and react accordingly
- Keep a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
- Perform additional requests as needed
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: 3-5 years of hospitality experience, planning hotel conference center meetings preferred
- Ability to always maintain a professional presence
- Communicate effectively, in-person, by phone, written skills
- Self-starter with a dynamic work ethic and the ability to manage multiple deadlines at once
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Experience coordinating internal team
- Flexible and long hours maybe required
- Understanding of food and beverage
- Ability to move around for an extended period

Key Responsibilities:
Handles all office activities and operations, including mail and distribution, filing, word processing, office supplies and order processing. Leads in the coordination and administration of multiple technical and administrative support functions.
Collects, compiles and analyzes statistical data and information. Generates and prepares summary reports related to department plans, programs and projects.
Coordinates activities with vendors, contractors and other external parties. Acts as the primary liaison with external parties for the department.
Ensures accurate and timely financial recording, accounting, cost methods, expense recording and tabulation methods for department.
Evaluates and recommends changes and improvements to existing processing procedures, standards, specifications, methods and equipment used throughout the department.
