Description:

Doxa Insurance Holdings is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to work in our Corporate Finance department. The candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions in our insurance business. This role will offer a great opportunity for growth as the organization continues its expansion goals.

Senior Accountant Job Duties:

• Month-end close ownership for multiple subsidiaries including Journal Entries, Account Reconciliations, Variance Analysis and      Reporting.
• Regularly interacting with satellite locations to help develop and maintain efficient month-end processes and controls.
• Record transactions in data management system and accounting systems.
• Assisting with year-end financial audit by gathering necessary documents for testing, documenting processes and supporting      other audit and tax requests.
• Updating job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices; participating in educational      opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Senior Accountant Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• 5+years' experience in an accounting firm or professional corporate accounting role
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Detail Oriented
• Being able to work independently
• Excellent problem-solving skills
