Assistant/Associate Adjunct Faculty. This course is part of the BA in Leadership and Organizational Studies (BALOS) bachelor's degree completion program for working adult learners.LDSH 402-01.

Qualifications

LDSH 402: Leadership Theory and Ethics Spring Quarter 2024

This course focuses on leadership in an ethical framework. Learners examine beliefs and values and how leadership is directed by a moral compass. They learn the foundations of leadership theory as they explore the role of leaders and how their vision and behavior affect the mission, goals, culture, and operations of organizations. Learners will examine their own leadership potential in the light of expanded knowledge of leadership behavior and processes.

The course meeting dates are: 4/8/24 to 5/12/24

The course in person meeting dates are: 4/13/24 9 am - 5 pm, 4/27/24 9 am - 5 pm, 5/11/24 9 am -12 noon

 

Faculty Requirements:

Masters degree in Adult Learning, Organizational Behavior, Management, Leadership Studies or a closely related discipline.

Experience:

• teaching mid-career adults;

•  in student-centered, collaborative learning; 
•  in hybrid or online learning environments including contemporary uses of emerging electronic technologies in diverse classrooms, including Learning Management Systems (Canvas preferred)

• Evidence of effective collaboration with a variety of colleagues.

• Demonstrates alignment of values with Saint Mary’s College’s Lasallian, Catholic, and Liberal Arts traditions in philosophy and action.

• Must reside in California.

Salary: $6,480 - $10,008, per 3 unit course, dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
