Arrow International, Inc. is seeking to add an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician within our manufacturing team based in Cleveland, OH. This position is integral in the production and distribution within world's largest manufacturer and supplier of charitable gaming products and solutions. We produce and distribute a wide array of products include consumables (pull tab tickets, bingo paper and ink, etc.) as well as world class, state-of-the-art, electronic gaming products. Position Overview: Performs complex purchasing functions for standard and special production materials and services.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform purchasing effectively for optimum success.
- Control and manage material purchasing activities with external suppliers.
- Ensure the cost of products purchased is within budget and delivered on correct time for production.
- Establish relationships with important suppliers or those essential to the needs of the company.
- Improve methods of purchasing and sourcing and cut short unnecessary expenditures.
- Recognize new suppliers, negotiate terms/supply agreements by rebating and receiving discounts extensively.
- Search for profitable options from the resources of procedures and systems available.
- Work under VP to offer maximum support and guidance in order to achieve set targets.
- Maintain awareness of procurement and materials concepts.
- Negotiate and finalize dealings with suppliers for diverse services and high quality materials.
- Understand and apply MRP.
- Verify accuracy of the data of BOM’s, part numbers, part costs, included in the MRP.
- Keep written documentation updated.
- Perform handling costs and incoming freights.
Requirements
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field required with 8-10 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment with remote locations.
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Extraordinary negotiating and communications skills with a proven track record.
- Excellent written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational and administrative skills, including computer proficiency.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Can work independently as well as in a team environment.
