Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure process and procedures defined in the Quality Management System (QMS) are understood and followed to maintain Quality System Approvals

  • Support customer and 3rd party audits as required to meet and maintain approvals

  • Develops quality control systems (where applicable), to ensure consistency and reliability including Control Plans and associated quality documentation
  • Document and report on quality assurance findings, including KPI’s (collecting and analyze supporting data)
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement
  • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures, working in tandem with Engineering and Operations personnel
  • Drive and support robust RCCA process, utilizing the appropriate tools (5 Why’s, Fishbone Diagram, 8D etc.) to prevent re-occurrences within the daily Quality Clinic, including customer returns and including the Material Review Board (MRB) as necessary
  • Utilize statistical software (Prolink) to establish, analyze and address quality process control data
  • Attend customer training and/or customer certification programs as required
  • Manage all aspects of Quality Planning related to New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure on time deliverable
  • Performs related duties or responsibilities as assigned, not specifically mentioned
  • Supplier Quality Support as needed

Skills/Competencies

  • Understand complex drawings and process documents, including flow down requirements
  • Experience with Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), including corresponding documentation (i.e. PFMEA, MSA etc.)
  • Must be capable of articulating interface with the customer, as required
  • Thorough knowledge of quality principles, materials & processes, including assembly & test experience
  • Strong preference for CQE (ASQ) and CQA (ASQ)
  • QA field as applicable to methods & procedures related to military & commercial standards
  • Knowledge of GD&T

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED                                

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering or equivalent

Experience Required:  5 years’ experience in relevant field
