Field Medical Affairs Specialist, East Zone
The Field Medical Affairs Specialist, East Zone, implements strategic medical plans in alignment with Sleep & Respiratory Care business unit goals while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role facilitates communication of complex medical information and developments to stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships and keeping them updated on industry trends.
Your role:
Build and sustain professional relationships with medical and scientific experts, ensuring effective communication of complex concepts and serving as a Medical Subject Matter Expert for both internal and external stakeholders.
Actively participate in conferences, professional societies, symposiums, and skills labs to engage with industry experts, facilitate meetings, and support thought leadership initiatives including webinars and CE content.
Develop, contribute to, and deliver educational materials, workshops, and training programs for internal and external audiences to promote safe, compliant device use and enhance clinical understanding.
Assist customers with troubleshooting and provide support for the safe and effective use of Philips products and devices, incorporating feedback from Key Opinion Leaders to drive innovation and address unmet patient needs.
Complete all required training promptly and travel up to 40% within the assigned territory to visit customers, attend conferences, and participate in learning activities.
You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 7+ years of related clinical experience, 10+ years preferred; you have demonstrated expertise in the medical device industry in roles such as Medical Affairs, Clinical Application Specialist, Product Management, Sales, and/or Training/Clinical Education. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) background required or equivalent combination of advanced clinical education and respiratory medical device medical affairs experience, additional related sleep and respiratory credentials nice to have. MBA is a strong plus.
Your skills include strong business acumen, strong presentation and drafting skills to present confidently to clinicians and large audiences (scientific presentations, white papers, symposiums, etc.);
You have a bachelor’s in medical science, Respiratory Therapy, Sleep Technology, Nursing or equivalent required, master’s preferred. Strong preference to related therapeutic area educational backgrounds.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
You’re an excellent communicator, with an ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders of varied backgrounds. Must be willing and able to travel up to 40%.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This is a field-based role requiring candidates based in Eastern or Central time zone.
