Key Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of power plant project from conceptual development through completion, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and permitting requirements.
Serve as the primary liaison between the owner and various stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Lead project planning and scheduling, focusing on aligning resources and timelines to meet project milestones and objectives
Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints, providing regular reports and recommendations to the owner.
Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones and deadlines to ensure timely completion of construction activities.
Implement quality control measures to uphold project standards and specifications, conduct site inspections and address any deviations from plans.
Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring terms align with project goals and objectives.
Facilitate clear and effective communication among project team members, resolving conflicts and promoting collaboration to achieve project success.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and change orders, to support project transparency and accountability.
Oversee procurement processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that all materials and services are acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and regulatory teams to ensure all project components adhere to industry standards and requirements.
Supervise construction activities, ensuring that they are carried out safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Conduct site inspections and regular project meetings to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement solutions.
Engage with key stakeholders, including government agencies, utility partners, and data center management, providing regular project updates and ensuring alignment of goals.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and permitting files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Mentor and lead project team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
10-15 years of experience in the utility sector, with a strong emphasis on power generation.
