JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Supervisor oversees the efficient operation and maintenance of all building systems and facilities. This position supervises a team of skilled maintenance workers and ensures that the physical environment is operated in a smooth and safe manner and stays in compliance with the applicable regulations.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises skilled, general maintenance, skilled heating, ventilation, door access, electric and air conditioning (HVAC) mechanics
Coordinates and assigns work orders and routine maintenance tasks; assigns and/or supervises equipment projects and repairs; shifts workload based on priorities and demands
Oversees outside contractors; ensures the quality of the work and adherence to deadlines
Performs follow-up investigations; conducts regular inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively; monitors results of maintenance projects, preventive maintenance, and energy management programs
Maintains security and safety protocols, including emergency procedures and evacuation plans
Acts as a primary point of contact during emergencies and coordinates emergency response efforts
Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical and general maintenance procedures
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and operations
Knowledge of building automation systems
Organizational/planning skills
Verbal and written communication skills
Accounting skills

Strong computer and software skills
Ability to exercise good judgment
Ability to draft project proposals
Ability to troubleshoot, modify, and maintain maintenance systems and equipment
Ability to administer union contracts
Ability to exert above average physical effort including walking across campus, lifting, bending, and carrying light to moderately heavy materials or equipment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree or relevant work experience
Three years of related work experience
PAY RANGE
$64,960 - $81,200
