We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all HVACR products and systems meet internal and external quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role involves leading quality initiatives, developing and implementing inspection processes, analyzing data to drive improvements, and collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams.
As a Quality Engineer, You Will:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols for HVACR products, components, and systems.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
Work closely with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality is built into product design and production processes.
Support compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AHRI, UL, and ASHRAE.
Review and approve incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure conformance with specifications.
Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor and improve process performance.
Assist in internal and external audits and certifications.
Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans (OMS), work instructions, and test reports.
Train staff in quality procedures, tools, and standards.
Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve supply chain performance.
This is a physically active, hands-on role in a plant environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Industry specific experience will also be considered.
Proficient in quality tools and methodologies: FMEA, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, CAPA, etc.
Experience with ISO 9001 QMS and regulatory compliance.
Knowledge with engineering drawings and GD&T.
Proficient with data analysis tools and software (Excel, Power Point, etc.).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Domestic travel as needed (less than 10%) to suppliers, test labs, or customers.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
3–5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the HVACR, mechanical, or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of HVACR systems and components.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification
Onsite Work Arrangement:
This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities. Typical work hours for this role are 6:30-3:30pm, but may require some flexibility to support the business.
