Physical Security Specialist

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as providing expert level advice and direction on a broad range of physical security programs; managing and coordinating physical and personnel security programs; and developing and implementing occupant emergency plans and activities, as well as continuity of operations programs. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Program/Project Management/Evaluation* Physical Security* Critical Thinking Customer Service* Decision Making Attention to Detail Written Communication Oral Communication *You will be evaluated on these critical competencies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
