Microcontrollers Machine Learning Product Marketing Manager

NXP’s Edge Processing business line is seeking candidates who have experience in microcontrollers, have a passion for system solutions, leading edge technology, an entrepreneurial spirit, an interest in integrated marketing and are looking to bring all of these passions together. The successful candidate will join the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Machine Learning (ML) Strategy and Technologies team and play a crucial  role in an exciting, technology business to bring together industry leading solutions around NXP’s vision and machine learning offerings. This is a unique opportunity that impacts Automotive, Industrial and IoT Consumer embedded microcontrollers and makes tinyML a reality.

Job Summary:

• Accountability for the product definition process, development of roadmap and necessary software enablement, as it relates to machine learning on microcontrollers
• Strong focus on customer applications needs and alignment
• Form strong interdisciplinary link between segment marketing, systems engineering, software R&D, design teams, sales and marketing organization, and our customers.
• Create compelling stories around our machine learning capabilities in hardware and software; use cases to implementation.
• Competitive analysis: build benchmark messaging and adjust strategy based on competitive positioning.
• Support regional sales and FAE teams for customer design-in activities, provide supporting material, and develop joint solution value proposition to accelerate design
• Technical requirements and market intelligence gathering for the assigned solutions
• Support marketing and communication related activities as it relates to the AI ML technologies

Key Challenges:

• Leverage technical expertise and always have an eye for business challenges and market needs.
• Gain and analyze market intelligence to determine how to best support our customers in their AI and ML end solutions
• Prepare “pitch-decks” and proposals to help champion new solutions with the NXP product owners

Cross functional aspects:

• Collaborate with marketing managers, Product Management teams, systems/application engineering teams, regional sales and FAE teams to consolidate requirements for HW/SW products, and drive implementation of the requirements.

Job Qualifications:

• BSEE or MSEE required.
• 10+ years of experience in semiconductor/electronic engineering technical roles.
• 4+ years of experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies for embedded devices and understanding of “tinyML”.
• 4+ years of experience with product marketing, ideally within a B2B environment. 
• Expert in the field of machine learning; practical experience in building and deploying machine learning solutions
• Up to date understanding of the machine learning eco-system and associated tools and software stacks.
• Demonstrated experience of understanding and applying knowledge of market dynamics, impact of competition.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with high technology product portfolio – technical expertise in Semiconductor or high technology industry required and ability to understand product applications is essential.
• Ability to develop successful cross functions relationships internally and with customers.
• Knowledge of application processors, SW stack, and middleware components for embedded processing products.
• Ability to create system level solutions and communicate value to product management and engineering teams.
• Ability to develop strategic plans.
• Agile, flexible, motivated, and committed to the success of the NXP teams.
• Travel as needed in support of meeting with customers, partners and trade show activities.
• Strong communications skills and English writing/speaking proficiency is a must.
