In this exciting role as a Senior Analyst on the Global Functions Finance Team, you will be responsible for accounting, finance and business partnering support of the Medtronic Clinical and Regulatory Services (MCRS) team. The role includes financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and critical thinking in support of our MCRS partners, enabling them to reach their business objectives. This role resides in the Czech Republic and reports to the Global Functions Finance Director supporting Clinical Medical and Regulatory Affairs (CMRA) at Operational Headquarters (OHQ) in the United States (US). This role will be onsite 3 days/week at the Czech Republic Medtronic locations.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Performs and analyzes financial modeling, trends, and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, cash flow, investments, and cost against budget, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning, and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and/or income statements
  • Identifies new and better ways to design the model going forward. Presents to MCRS leadership, Global Functions finance leadership and drives results
  • Partners with MCRS – Clin Ops leaders to explain and educate them on the business model and how their decisions impact the financial outcomes and manage through model changes
  • Prepares reports of findings and recommendations, compiles, and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management 
  • Connects Demand and Expenses – monthly, tells the story of what has happened and looks forward, forecasting the remainder of the quarter and year. Works closely with the MCRS forecasting team and finance director in the US to understand what is happening in the OUs and ensure alignment with our business decisions
  • Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, ad hoc reporting, and analysis
  • Delivers on projects– from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and finance skills


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires a bachelors degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A)
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Advanced skills using Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other MS Office applications
  • Experience with Hyperion and SAP strongly preferred 
  • Strong results orientation and bias for action, including a high degree of initiative and self-motivation in understanding business needs
