We are a €1.5B business, primarily driven by our 5 core brands including TRESemme, Dove, Shea Moisture, Nexxus and Vaseline across the US and Canada.  The B&W business in Unilever NA is a Contender for leadership in the Hair category and a Challenger in HBL, requiring strong strategic agility and visionary leadership coupled with strong bias for action to drive success. The Head of Category Strategy & Planning Beauty & Wellbeing US will lead a dedicated team focused on best-in-class execution across all brands in close partnership with the cross functional BU team and CBD organization.

Who You Are & What You’llDo:  

  • The Head of Category Strategy & Planning B&W US will lead the category strategy, category and shopper insights, and channel and customer planning expertise across our US Hair and Skincare businesses.

  • Category Planning delivery of the B&W hair and skincare strategy and growth agenda through the direct management of the US Category Strategy and Planning team.

Reporting to the SVP, B&W Category Operations Lead the Head of Category Strategy & Planning B&W US will:

  • Deliver 4G growth for the Hair and Skincare categories 

  • Responsible for in year delivery, customer planning and category strategies including deployment of TTS

  • Develops key customer & channel drivers to deliver Annual Operating Plan (AOP); communicate, engage & deliver with the field team.  

  • Makes strategic trade-offs and defines investment framework (Trade, Shopper Marketing, ISV, Retail coverage) to deliver AOP. 

  • Leverage Net Revenue Management (NRM) strategies and capabilities to drive investment for the future. 

  • Lead and inspire a large, highly engaged, cross-functional organization.  

What You'll Need to Succeed   

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 12+ years of experience as a CPG Leader with customer facing sales and headquarters experience. 

  • Deep knowledge of the US beauty & wellbeing market and relevant category, brand and customer experience.

  • Generates operational intensity & accountability behind the performance target framework; highly skilled at using data and insights to influence. 

  • Consumer love, a passion for beauty and proven craftmanship from opportunity spotting to insight, proposition and customer story.

  • Strong managerial experience is a must; the B&W Category Operations Director, Hair will create an inclusive environment that empowers everyone to be their best; deliver new heights; and develop our people everyday  

  • Brings the voice of the category and customer into everything we do, always.  

  • World Class business acumen; able to generate innovative growth opportunities 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation plans across many areas. 

  • Demonstration of an entrepreneurial mind set and strong bias for action with proven results leading and motivating internal cross functional teams and external partners. 

  • Experience developing disruptive strategies in highly competitive segments.

  • Have practical know-how, demonstrating a high-performance orientation while empowering and holding the team accountable for results.   

Pay: The pay range for this position is $221,100 to $ 386,925. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.  

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.  

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
