POSITION PROFILE:

Assist with the recording, storing, access, and/or analyzing of computerized financial information to include assisting with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

• Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
• Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.
• Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
• Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
• Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures.
• Follow-up and resolve past due accounts and vendor invoices until payment in full is received or resolved.
• Prepare daily consolidated deposits of cash received by all cash handling employees.
• Document, maintain, communicate, and act upon all cash variances.
• Data entry of invoice details.
• Process and mail checks.
• Correspondence with vendors.
• Prepare, maintain, and administer all cashier banks and contracts.
• May handle the accounts receivable function and perform the hotel's credit/collection and food & beverage control function to ensure accurate, timely and quality service and support to hotel guests and management
• Promptly follows-up on all customer needs and inquiries in an efficient and expedient manner.
• Investigate, resolve, respond to guest needs, inquires, comments and/or problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Two to four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.

Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in a related position. Hotel experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities: Ability to perform critical analysis and manage wide-range of information. Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the finance and hospitalit
