Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Sr. Director Operations located in Columbia, SC.
Reporting to the Vp, Operations the Sr. Director Operations Plans, directs and controls all manufacturing activities within the company. Coordinates operating activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards and cost goals. Additional duties involve the estimation of manufacturing capacity, production and materials control, warehousing and site facilities, maintenance, industrial engineering and other manufacturing hold up activities.
What a typical day looks like:
- Oversee and direct site operations to achieve business development growth and meet profit and operational goals aligned with our Vision and Mission.
- Assess existing and potential markets while developing and nurturing strategic alliances with key customers.
- Engage regularly with executives and major clients, influencing and negotiating to drive successful outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and business skills effective at all organizational levels.
- Lead the execution of customer solutions by developing necessary functional and process expertise to deliver results swiftly and cost-effectively.
- Manage various functions, including Engineering, Procurement, Materials Management, Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, Warehousing and Logistics, Business Excellence, cross-functional Human Resources, and Financial Controls.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of extensive manufacturing experience in Operations Management and/or at the Executive level.
- Proven ability to lead large teams and manage multi-million-dollar revenues.
- Track record of significantly improving operational metrics, including increasing inventory turns, enhancing out-of-box quality, ensuring on-time delivery, and reducing cycle times and costs.
- Strong capability to influence senior management, executives, and key clients effectively.
- Solid experience in Opex.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
