About this role:
We are looking for a talented reporting and visualization developer to support our weekly patching maintenance efforts. You will build and maintain dashboards that provide visibility into patch discovery, deployment status, schedules, and compliance.
This position is within the Foundational Hosting Operation (FHO)/Maintenance & Compliance Research (MCR) team plays a critical role in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of enterprise systems. We specialize in weekly patching operations across both Unix and Windows environments, ensuring systems remain up-to-date and protected against vulnerabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate with content owners to validate and deploy patches
- Monitor patch compliance and system health across platforms
- Generate and analyze reports to track patching success, identify trends, and support audit requirements
- Perform data analysis to improve operational efficiency and proactively address potential issues
- Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline patching and monitoring processes
- Develop and maintain Tableau and Power BI dashboards to visualize patching status, schedules, and compliance metrics
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from patching systems like Configuration Manager (CM), WSUS, and BigFix
- Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to understand reporting needs and data flows
- Integrate data from Ansible-based patch deployment processes
- Automate data refreshes and ensure data accuracy and timeliness in reports
- Create intuitive visualizations that support decision-making and operational efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, dashboard performance, and user access
- Document report logic, data sources, and dashboard functionality
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of experience creating Tableau Desktop Server dashboards and reports
- 2+ years of experience with using SQL, including writing complex queries, and optimizing performance
- 2+ years of Power BI for building and publishing report or the equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with data from Configuration Manager (CM), WSUS, and BigFix
- Understanding of OS patching processes and compliance reporting
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple reporting tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Linux/Window systems and patching practices
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for data manipulation or automation
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements related to patching
- Familiarity with Ansible-based patch deployment workflows
