(USA) Quality Engineer

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

• Leads the application of Process Improvement tools and methods, including 5S, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, and time-and-motion studies, to eliminate quality losses and deviations within Distribution Center areas.

• Aligns improvement efforts to Network Process Structure using Walmart Performance System (WPS) and Quality Excellence programs.

• Delivers expected functional area results through KPI analysis, loss elimination, and creation of standard work to reduce process variation.

• Assists in the review, execution, and response to quality-focused process improvement projects owned by Area Managers.

• Compiles and submits deviations to existing One Best Way playbooks and provides input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities.

Program Deployment & Performance Management

• Supports the tactical deployment of WPS Quality Excellence methodology.

• Manages execution of projects addressing top quality losses within the functional area.

• Builds process improvement capability among Area Managers and associates.

• Develops area quality loss profiles, performance metrics, and gap analyses to support WPS integration.

• Supports Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements within assigned process areas.

• Leads quality-related savings projects by removing waste and loss from processes.
