YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)

The Director of Spa manages the spa's overall operations, including guest gym, staff supervision, financial management, marketing, and guest relations, to ensure profitability and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities involve developing the spa's service and retail menu, overseeing staff training and scheduling, maintaining equipment and supplies, ensuring health and safety compliance, and creating promotional strategies to attract and retain clients. The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and extensive knowledge of spa services and current wellness trends.

Qualifications

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)

• Oversee the daily operations of the spa and guest gym, including reservations, reception, locker room areas, and the delivery of services like skin care, massage, and fitness programs
• Recruit, train, and schedule spa staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies, providing ongoing coaching, and fostering a culture of excellent customer service
• Manage the spa's budget, monitor operating financial statements, control inventory, and handle vendor relationships to achieve financial goals
• Create and update spa treatment menus, incorporating new trends, services, and wellness programs to meet guest preferences and market demands
• Manage retail product research, purchasing, merchandising, and inventory to drive sales and meet financial objectives
• Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by addressing inquiries and complaints, gathering feedback, and creating a positive and memorable spa experience
• Develop and implement promotional strategies, including gifting programs and co-op marketing efforts, to attract new clients and build brand loyalty
• Work with marketing department on promoting spa services and activities that align with financial and performance goals
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and licensing regulations, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards for all spa areas and equipment
