Job Summary
The Construction Support Supervisor – Document Management is responsible for ensuring traceable, verifiable, and complete documentation for a portfolio of large construction projects with an annual capital spend of approximately $150M–$200M. This role provides front-line leadership to a team of full-time employees, leased workers, and/or contract service vendors responsible for documentation collection, quality control, error reconciliation, and document handover.
The supervisor also administers the digital inspection and progress tracking system for the assigned project portfolio and helps ensure documentation standards are consistently met throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support team members responsible for construction documentation activities, including full-time employees, leased workers, and/or contract service vendors.
Oversee documentation collection, quality control, error reconciliation, and final document handover for assigned construction projects.
Ensure project documentation is traceable, verifiable, complete, and aligned with applicable standards and requirements.
Administer the digital inspection and progress tracking system for the assigned portfolio.
Monitor documentation workflows, identify gaps or issues, and drive timely resolution to support project closeout.
Partner with construction, engineering, project management, and other stakeholders to support accurate and complete documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Strong knowledge of gas industry regulations related to traceable, verifiable, and complete documentation standards.
Intermediate proficiency in verbal and written communication.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Demonstrated leadership skills with full-time employees, leased workers, and/or contract service vendors
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
Intermediate proficiency in GIS.
Advanced proficiency in project closeout activities.
Preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in documentation and closeout activities related to utility construction projects.
- 5 or more years of experience in documentation and closeout activities within the gas pipeline industry, plus additional experience in construction, engineering, and/or project management.
Education and Certification
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent experience.
- CAPM and/or PMP certification.
