Senior Salesforce Developer (remote)

The Senior Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform, leading a team with strong problem-solving and communication skills, ensuring effective platform maintenance and optimization, streamlining business processes, enhancing customer engagement, driving data-driven decision-making, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned with business objectives.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the development and maintenance of custom Apex classes, triggers, and Visualforce pages
- Design and implement complex Salesforce Flows to automate business processes, ensuring seamless integration with other Salesforce features and third-party applications
- Develop and configure Experience Cloud sites to enhance user engagement, customizing the user interface to meet the specific needs of the organization
- Collaborate with educational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications, supporting the implementation of Salesforce for student information systems, alumni management, and other education-related functions
- Provide training and support to end-users on the use of Salesforce Flows, optimizing existing Flows for efficiency and scalability
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the professional development of the team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or have equivalent experience
- Proficient in Apex coding with significant experience in developing and maintaining custom Apex classes, triggers, and Visualforce pages
- Experienced with Salesforce Flows, capable of designing and implementing complex Flows to automate business processes
- Skilled in developing and configuring Experience Cloud sites to enhance user engagement
- Familiar with higher education processes and requirements a plus
- Salesforce certified (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified Administrator) with additional advanced certifications preferred
- Knowledge of Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Experience with Salesforce integration tools such as MuleSoft
- Familiarity with other Salesforce products and features like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud
- Proven leadership experience in technical projects or teams
- This is a remote position but may require travel to campus, if there is a business need.
