About the role
- Oversee DBJ's special reports, including awards, growth summits, etc.
- Represent DBJ newsroom in coordinating with events team
- Aid rest of editing team with publishing of digital and print coverage
- Work with editors, reporters and other stakeholders to plan new content and features
- Perform other regular newsroom functions, including writing daily news stories and interviewing Dallas-area CEOs and business leaders
- Digital writing and publishing skills
- Ability to manage several projects at once
- Creative planner who embraces ambitious engagement metrics without sacrificing attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a collaborative, high-energy environment
- Excellent headline-writing and copy-editing skills
- Texas knowledge is a plus; bonus points for familiarity with the Dallas-Fort Worth area
